Are you a passionate English Teacher looking for flexible teaching opportunities in Mansfield Woodhouse? At Academics, we act as an agency and are recruiting a teacher to work on a temporary, flexible, ongoing supply basis across a large variety of secondary schools throughout Mansfield Woodhouse.
This English Teacher role will provide a platform for you to share your passion for English with secondary students at a variety of schools while also offering you the opportunity to undertake general secondary cover to share your passion for other subjects where applicable.

The Role:
- Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 & KS4, driving pupils to build their literary knowledge, critical thinking and analytical skills, while building the confidence to communicate their ideas effectively.
- The role is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECT) who are looking for flexible, temporary, ongoing work.
- There may also be opportunities to undertake general secondary cover across a variety of schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 & KS4
- Maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines
- Support pupils' progress and engagement
- Adapt learning to meet the needs of different pupils
- Follow school planning and curriculum expectations
- Provide general secondary cover when required
- Follow safeguarding procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Previous experience teaching English, or relevant secondary teaching experience
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A flexible and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
- A passion for education and training
