Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lessons in English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Foster a positive learning environment where students feel engaged, challenged, and supported.
- Plan, prepare and teach lessons to suit varying abilities and learning styles, including students with SEN or English as an additional language
- Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of students
- Encourage a love of literature and language through creative teaching methods.
- Active participation in extra-curricular activities/ educational visits / out-of-hours learning
We are looking for
- A qualified English teacher with a strong passion for teaching.
- Experience in teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable, but not essential).
- Competent user of ICT
- Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours and attitudes to use of authority and maintaining discipline
