Do you want to make a real impact in children’s lives? As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that students receive the individual attention they need to thrive. In the role of 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will be assigned to work closely with a specific student or a small group of students, helping them overcome barriers to learning, both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
- Individualized Support: You will work closely with a student, providing tailored support based on their specific needs, whether they require help with academic subjects, emotional well-being, or behavioural management.
- Facilitate Learning: You will support the delivery of lessons, adapting materials and tasks to suit the child’s learning style, ensuring they understand the content and engage in activities to the best of their ability.
- Monitor Progress: You will track the student’s academic and personal development, providing regular feedback to the class teacher to ensure that their progress is monitored effectively.
- Emotional and Social Support: You will foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for the child, helping them build self-confidence and social skills.
- Collaboration with Teachers and Parents: You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and parents to create and implement strategies for the student's learning and development.
