An experienced and qualified Speech and Language Therapist (HCPC registered and RCSLT member) is required to provide onsite therapy for pupils with identified needs as outlined in their EHCPs. The role involves direct intervention, assessment, and supporting staff and families to help students access learning and make progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individual and group SALT interventions according to EHCP requirements.
  • Carry out assessments and produce reports and therapy programmes for pupils, staff and families.
  • Support school staff to embed communication strategies across the curriculum.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress using agreed outcome measures.
  • Support and deliver staff and parent training as part of the universal and targeted offer.
  • Work collaboratively with therapy colleagues and wider school teams.
  • Provide supervision to junior team members where required.
  • Maintain evidence-based practice and engage in ongoing CPD and clinical supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with HCPC and RCSLT professional standards.

  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist.
  • HCPC registration and RCSLT membership.
  • Experience working with children (school-based experience beneficial).
