We are seeking qualified teachers and experienced tutors to provide 1:1 and small-group tuition for primary and secondary students across Uxbridge and the wider Hillingdon area. This provision supports young people who are currently outside of mainstream education, including students on EOTAS pathways and learners with SEND and/or SEMH needs. With referrals continuing to rise throughout the academic year and into September, demand for dedicated tutors remains high.
The Role
- Deliver tuition in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science
- Support both primary and secondary‑aged pupils
- Sessions are held during school hours, so daytime availability is essential
- Work with learners with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, and school avoidance needs
- Deliver sessions in homes, schools, community venues, or online
- Flexible opportunities available, with many placements offering up to 5 days per week (approximately 3 hours per day)
Requirements
- QTS / QTLS or substantial tutoring experience
- Previous experience supporting SEND, EOTAS, or alternative provision learners is desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and awareness
- Ability to travel locally within the Hillingdon area
- A degree in the subject area being taught is preferred
