A Specialist Educational Needs school (SEN) in Gloucester are seeking a 1-1 support worker to join their team. The school supports a wide range of learners, including many with behavioural and emotional needs, and provide a nurturing and structured environment allowing them thrive and grow. As part of this role, you will work alongside teaching staff as well as other professionals to provide tailored support to learners. Your role will be essential in helping learners manage and understand their behaviour, engage in learning, and build social and emotional skills. You'll also assist in creating a positive and supportive environment where all learners feel safe, valued, and understood. Key Details: SEN 1-1 Support Work - Special Educational Needs Learners Special Educational Needs Setting Gloucester Start date - ASAP £80 - £95 per day (Depending on Experience) Term time only Clear DBS (or willingness to apply) Your Key Responsibilities as SEN 1-1 Support Worker: Support a wide range of learners with challenging behavioural, social, and emotional needs within the classroom and setting. Work closely with and on a 1:1 basis a range of learners. Support in the development and implementation of individualised behaviour support plans. Help learners develop positive strategies and improve their social and emotional skills. Work closely with teachers and SEN specialists to monitor learners progress and adapt strategies as needed. Foster a calm, inclusive environment where learners feel respected and supported. We are looking for someone who is: Caring, patient and adaptable. Passionate about supporting learning and young people to succeed. Confident building positive relationships with learners. Resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations. Willing to learn and develop through training and hands on experience. Able to work effectively as part of a supportive team.
