The Role

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils on a 1 to 1 basis and in small groups, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.

  • Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1 to 1 and small group basis
  • Assisting with learning activities and classroom tasks
  • Helping to manage behaviour in a positive and supportive way
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Monitoring and recording pupil progress

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people preferred
  • Psychology graduates or candidates with a strong SEN interest
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, calm, and empathetic approach
  • Passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
