Key Stage 1 - Year 2 Role.

Academics are currently working with this fantastic Primary school in Wandsworth to appoint an experienced Year 2 class teacher to join the team from this September. The role would suit an experienced Key Stage 1 teacher who would enjoy working in a small, well run school. This Primary school is 5 minutes' walk from excellent bus, train and underground routes and there is car parking available.

The school has a settled leadership team who have been working together for the past 4 years and have achieved & maintained their Outstanding OFSTED together. They support and encourage their teaching team to do their best work and augment a robust behaviour policy across the school to ensure that Teachers and children get the best from the school day and enjoy lessons from an enriched curriculum that is tailored to the children's needs.

The successful teacher will be adept at planning and delivering fun, interactive lessons. The school has adopted a no marking policy and teachers' work and home life are valued and respected.

If you are looking for a forward thinking Primary school with a child centred approach and great opportunities to develop your middle leadership experience in a supportive environment, you will need to be open to join the school initially on a fixed term contract for the 2026/27 academic year. However, there could be options for the role to become permanent if both parties are happy to go ahead during the year.

It is essential that you have qualified teacher status (QTS) or the equivalent overseas teaching qualifications.
