Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a phase (EYFS, KS1, or KS2), ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across the team
  • Support, coach, and develop teachers to improve classroom practice and outcomes
  • Monitor pupil progress and attainment, implementing strategies to close gaps
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, development, and assessment across the phase
  • Work closely with senior leadership to drive school improvement priorities
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-achieving learning environment
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have proven experience as an effective classroom practitioner
  • Have experience leading a subject, year group, or phase (or be ready to step into leadership)
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Be passionate about raising attainment and supporting staff development
  • Be committed to inclusion and ensuring all pupils achieve their full potential
