Primary performance district (PPS) based school seeks two full‑time Learning Support Assistants for the 2026/27 academic year. The role begins in September 2026 and will continue until July 2027, with a possibility of a permanent contract thereafter.
Role Details
- Full time (term‑time only)
- Hours: Monday‑Friday, 08:30 – 15:45
- Daily salary: £93 – £120
- Location: Havering, London
- Transport: excellent links, car parking available
Key Responsibilities
- You will work 1:1 with an allocated child, supporting their everyday learning activities.
- Your daily tasks will include:
- Supporting classroom teaching and learning, including literacy and numeracy activities
- Providing pastoral care and fostering a positive learning environment
- Collaborating with the class teacher, Phase Lead and SENCO to implement individualized support plans
- Contributing to weekly planning and development meetings
- Offering class cover when required and assisting with broader school duties
Qualifications
- Applicants must:
- Have proven experience working with students with SEN, including those with an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
- Be able to work flexibly across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 based on experience and preference
- Possess good literacy and numeracy skills
- Demonstrate strong spoken and written English, and initiative in a school setting
