The school is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed KS1 Phase Leader to join their team from May 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the Key Stage 1 team, drive high standards of teaching and learning, and make a lasting impact on pupil progress within a collaborative and forward-thinking school environment.
Role Details
- Location: Haringey
- Start Date: May 2026
- Contract: Full-time, Permanent
- Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Key Stage 1, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across Year 1 and Year 2
- Support, coach, and develop teachers to improve classroom practice and outcomes
- Monitor pupil progress and attainment, implementing strategies to close gaps
- Ensure strong phonics teaching and early literacy development in line with national expectations
- Contribute to curriculum planning, development, and assessment across KS1
- Work closely with senior leadership to drive school improvement priorities
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-achieving learning environment
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have strong experience teaching within Key Stage 1
- Have experience leading a subject, year group, or phase (or be ready to step into leadership)
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Be passionate about early learning, phonics, and raising attainment
- Be committed to inclusion and ensuring all pupils achieve their full potential
