You will be required to work 3 days per week. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic Food Technology teacher who is confident delivering engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring students to develop their knowledge of nutrition, cooking skills, and food science within a vibrant and well-resourced department.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Food Technology or Food Preparation & Nutrition at KS3 and KS4
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for food education
- Be confident delivering both practical and theoretical lessons in a safe and engaging environment
- Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Be committed to supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
- Have a proactive and collaborative approach to working within a wider school community
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach a range of topics including nutrition, food science, healthy eating, and practical cookery skills
- Ensure safe use of kitchen equipment and adherence to health and safety standards at all times
