Teaching Assistant Role
- Class Room Support, 121 and Small Group Work
Academics are currently working with this Primary school in Wandsworth to appoint a Teaching Assistant with a good understanding of phonics or experience working with children who have English as an additional language. This role would be brilliant for a teaching assistant who likes to work independently and have responsibility for taking children out of class to take part in small group and 121 intervention to improve their ability in English.
The children you will be working with are in the early stages of learning English as an additional language and could be in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. Full support and training for you to be successful in your role will be provided, however you will need to be confident working on your own initiative to make sure you are working to a high standard and as a strong team player within the teaching team.
If this sounds like the role for you and you are degree qualified or hold a Level 2 or 3 Education qualification, we encourage you to apply.
