The Successful Candidate Will
- Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or an equivalent SENCO qualification
- Have substantial experience as a SENCO within a primary school setting
- Demonstrate successful leadership experience at Assistant Headteacher level or equivalent
- Have a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current SEND legislation
- Be experienced in writing, reviewing and implementing EHCPs
- Have excellent communication, organisation and team leadership skills
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SEND provision across the school
- Oversee EHCP applications, annual reviews and intervention programmes
- Support teachers in delivering high-quality inclusive teaching and learning
- Work closely with parents, carers and external professionals
- Monitor pupil progress and ensure appropriate support strategies are in place
