The Department
The Art & Design Technology faculty is a well-resourced and collaborative department, covering Art, Textiles, Graphics, Product Design, Food Preparation and Nutrition, and Design Technology. The department delivers a broad, creative, and practical curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities at A Level depending on experience.
The Role
The school is seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join their forward-thinking department. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire students and make a real impact on their creative development within a supportive and well-structured environment.
- Plan and deliver engaging and imaginative Art lessons across KS3 and KS4 (A Level available depending on experience)
- Develop pupils' creativity, technical skills, and confidence across a range of media and processes

- Use assessment effectively to track progress and provide meaningful feedback
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities across the faculty

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be able to teach Art at secondary level
- Have strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Art and creative education
- Be confident in classroom management and pupil engagement
- Demonstrate commitment to inclusive practice and supporting learners of all abilities
- Be a collaborative team player with a proactive approach to departmental development
- Be open to professional development and ECT mentoring support where applicable
