Academics are currently working alongside a highly regarded Secondary School in South Leeds who are looking for an IT teacher from February 2026 until the end of the academic year in the first instance. In the school's most recent Ofsted report, they have been praised for providing a high quality curriculum and for their level of determination to ensure success for the students.
Responsibilities
- Using a range of teaching strategies and resources including e-learning, which meet learners' needs.
- Teach engaging and motivating lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Manage learners' behaviour constructively by establishing and maintaining a clear and positive framework for behaviour management, in line with the Academy's behaviour policy.
- Collaborate with other members of the department, and contribute towards the development of the school's curriculum.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate must be able to display excellent communication skills and a positive working attitude, you must also know how to use local data to evaluate the effectiveness of your teaching and to monitor the progress of those you teach.
- A good honours degree related to ICT and Computing will also be required for this role, accompanied with Qualified Teacher Status.
- You must also have a DBS (or be willing to apply for one) and show a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
