HIGH NEEDS TEACHING ASSISTANT
Location: Gravesend
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Setting: Mainstream Primary School
We are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated High Needs Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the Gravesend area .
The successful candidate will be supporting pupils with additional and complex needs , helping them to access learning, develop their independence and manage behaviour in a positive and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate will have:

Previous SEN experience , ideally within a primary school setting

Experience supporting children with high or complex needs
-
Strong behaviour management skills
-
A calm, patient and nurturing approach
-
Confidence working within a mainstream primary school

The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Relevant experience and/or qualifications in education, childcare or SEN
-
The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
-
Driving is preferred , although candidates who are able to reliably travel by public transport will also be considered
Safeguarding Requirements:

An enhanced DBS is required

Candidates with a suitable DBS already in place are welcome to apply

If you do not currently have a DBS, you must be willing to apply for a new enhanced DBS

References and appropriate safeguarding checks will be completed
