A well led and supportive primary school located in Havering, London are seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join them from September or October 2025 on a full time basis till at least July 2026. This role will be working across Year 1 & Year 2 (KS1) to help raise attainment and support the class teachers across the year groups.

This Teaching Assistant role in Havering, London involves supporting teachers in creating a positive and effective environment for children in Year 1 and Year 2 (KS1). This includes assisting with classroom preparation, delivering targeted support to children with their reading, writing and maths as well as fostering positive behaviour and social, emotional develop.
This role will entail working in the classroom and completing small group interventions outside of the classroom. There might also be an element of 1:1 working with particular children who need additional support in their learning.
A KS1 Teaching Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the holistic development of young learners, helping them thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
