Are you a qualified teacher with experience working in upper KS2 and looking for your next role? We are currently looking for a confident and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a primary school in Gravesend from January on a full-time basis. This position would suit a teacher who enjoys creating an engaging classroom, has high expectations of pupils and is confident taking full ownership of their class.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Leading a Year 6 class on a full-time basis
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum
- Taking responsibility for planning, assessment and marking
- Monitoring pupil progress and identifying areas for development
- Supporting pupils as they prepare for secondary school
- Creating a positive, structured and inclusive classroom
- Working closely with colleagues, parents and the wider school team
We're Looking For Someone Who Has:
- QTS - essential
- Previous primary teaching experience, ideally within Year 6
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent organisation and communication
- Confidence working independently and taking responsibility for a class
- A current DBS, or willingness to apply for a new one
- A driving licence is preferred
