Are you a passionate Outreach Tutor looking for a rewarding role where you can truly transform a child's education? Academics is recruiting dedicated Outreach Tutors to provide 1:1 support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who are currently not accessing a school setting.

As an Outreach Tutor, you’ll deliver personalised learning in the child’s home or within the local community, helping them rebuild confidence, develop key skills and re-engage with education. This is the perfect opportunity for experienced teachers, tutors, HLTAs or SEN professionals looking for flexible, meaningful work.

The Role:

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition to children with SEN
  • Support pupils who are currently out of school, awaiting placement or accessing alternative education
  • Adapt learning to meet each child’s individual needs and EHCP outcomes
  • Build confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning
  • Flexible hours to fit around your availability

We’re Looking For Outreach Tutors Who:

  • Have experience working with children with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety or other additional needs
  • Can create engaging, personalised lessons that inspire confidence
  • Are patient, resilient and passionate about helping every child succeed
  • Can build strong relationships with pupils and families
  • Hold QTS, tutoring experience, HLTA status or relevant education qualifications
