The Role
As a History Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3 and KS4
Inspire students to develop a genuine curiosity about the past
Encourage discussion, debate and independent thinking
Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations
Create a positive classroom environment where students feel confident to contribute
Work alongside colleagues to support the wider History department
Track and assess student progress, adapting your teaching where required
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from qualified History Teachers who:
Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have experience teaching History within a UK secondary school
Have strong subject knowledge across the secondary History curriculum
Can engage students with different abilities and learning needs
Have high expectations for behaviour, achievement and progress
Are passionate about making History relevant and exciting
