Academics Educational Recruitment is supporting a Huddersfield secondary school in the search for an experienced and driven Science Curriculum Leader to start as soon as possible. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a passionate Science specialist ready to take the next step in their career and make a real impact on teaching, learning, and curriculum development.

About the role

  • Lead and manage the Science department across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Drive high standards of teaching and learning across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Develop and implement an engaging and effective Science curriculum
  • Support and mentor teaching staff within the department
  • Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment

Who we're looking for

  • An experienced Science Teacher with leadership or middle leadership experience
  • Confident teaching across Science disciplines
  • Strong understanding of curriculum planning and assessment
  • A proactive and inspirational leader with excellent communication skills

Essential requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven track record of strong classroom practice
  • Experience supporting or leading within a department (e.g. Head of Department, KS Coordinator)
