This is a dynamic and rewarding position based in Specialist Schools across Huddersfield, where no two days are ever the same. You will be supporting pupils who may struggle with behaviour, helping them to engage with their education in a positive and constructive way.
Working alongside teaching staff, you will provide both classroom and pastoral support, using effective behaviour strategies and a calm, consistent approach. You will play an important role in helping students manage their emotions, build positive relationships, and succeed within the school environment.
You’ll Be:
- Experienced in supporting children, young people or adults who may display challenging behaviour
- Confident using behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
- Calm, resilient, and able to build strong, positive relationships
- Patient, proactive, and committed to supporting pupil development and wellbeing
