The school is based in Leatherhead and provides support for children aged 11-16 years with ASD and other complex or anxiety related needs who may present with challenging behaviours associated with their diagnosis. Some pupils may have multiple learning difficulties. All students that attend the school have a designated Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) which details their specific needs in terms of the care and support they will have access to. The pupils at the school can struggle to form strong, healthy relationships and can present high levels of anxiety and challenging behaviour.

  • Development of an increased range of emotional vocabulary

What is required:

  • GCSE Maths and English qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent is essential.
  • ELSA/THRIVE qualification desirable, if not already got must be willing to achieve in first 2 years in post.
  • Level 5 qualification related to the subject area desirable
  • Mental health first aid training desirable
  • The Higher Level Teaching Assistant Diploma or equivalent Level 4 qualification, or demonstrate equivalent skill level.

Summary:

£27,713 - £30,250 - 40 hours per week - Term Time only - Start time 8.15am - Finish time Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday 4.45pm. Thursday 5pm and Friday April 25 or later in the year depending on your availability.
