Quantum Scholars is currently acting as an agency on behalf of a genuinely welcoming and highly regarded secondary school in High Wycombe that is seeking to appoint an exceptional Head of Religious Studies on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and inspirational educator to lead a successful and well-established Religious Studies department within a supportive school environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Religious Studies department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching Religious Studies at secondary level, including A-Level
  • Previous middle leadership or departmental leadership experience is desirable
  • Strong track record of delivering excellent student outcomes
  • Ability to support and motivate colleagues through effective leadership
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Passionate about Religious Studies and committed to inspiring students
  • MUST have the Right to Work in the UK
  • MUST be currently UK-based
