SEN Tutors Required - Immediate Start - Alternative Provision (Hereford Area)

We are currently seeking qualified teachers and experienced tutors to provide 1:1 and small group tuition to pupils across the Hereford area. This role involves supporting young people who are not accessing mainstream education or who require additional support due to SEND and/or SEMH needs. Tuition may be delivered in person or online, depending on student requirements. With ongoing referrals from schools and local authorities, we have multiple positions available offering flexible and rewarding work.

Role Overview

  • Deliver tuition in core subjects (English, Maths, Science)
  • Support students from KS1 to KS5 (based on your experience)
  • Work with pupils with SEND, SEMH, and additional needs
  • Sessions may take place in homes, schools, community settings, or online
  • Flexible opportunities ranging from part-time to near full-time

Student Needs

  • SEMH needs, anxiety, or school refusal
  • Autism (ASC), ADHD
  • MLD, SLD, or PMLD

A calm, adaptable, and trauma-informed approach is essential.

Requirements

  • QTS / QTLS or strong tutoring experience
  • Experience supporting SEND or alternative provision learners
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Two professional references
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding
  • Ability to travel locally
