We are recruiting on behalf of a successful SEMH school in Basingstoke that caters for pupils aged 10-16 years with social, emotional, and mental health needs and other associated needs, such as autism.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational and behavioural needs, including autism, on a small group and 1:1 basis.
  • Manage and support pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
  • Provide assistance and implement behaviour plans as required.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to support pupils’ learning and development.

Qualifications:

  • Experienced Teaching Assistant with recent experience supporting pupils, ideally within KS3 and KS4.
  • Experience working with SEN/SEMH or mainstream school pupils with complex needs.
  • Empathetic yet firm nature, with a good sense of humour.
