Academics is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to support our partner primary schools across Aldershot, Surrey and the surrounding areas. Due to increased demand, we are looking to recruit both experienced LSAs and those new to the role who are passionate about supporting children's learning and development.

We offer a range of flexible opportunities - from daily supply cover to long-term and permanent contracts - designed to suit your individual circumstances and career goals.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting (desirable)
  • A patient, caring and proactive approach
  • Good understanding of the primary curriculum (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils
  • Assist pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND
  • Help create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Promote positive behaviour and support classroom management
  • Support the well-being and academic progress of all pupils
