We work with a variety of specialist and alternative educational settings, meaning we have different roles to suit different teachers - whether you're looking for experience in a specialist provision, a smaller class environment, a new challenge, or a role that allows you to focus on individual pupil needs.
As an SEN Teacher, you could be working within a small class, delivering a tailored and engaging curriculum designed around individual EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) outcomes.
Depending on the setting and role, you may be supporting pupils with a range of additional and complex needs, helping them to develop academically, socially and emotionally within a safe and nurturing environment.
Your responsibilities may include
Leading a small class and creating a positive, supportive learning environment.
Delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
Adapting teaching strategies to meet a range of SEN needs.
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
Working closely with TAs, support staff, families and other professionals.
Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to assessment and EHCP reviews.
Encouraging independence, confidence and positive engagement with learning.
