A primary school in Halifax is urgently seeking an enthusiastic, caring and experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner who is passionate about supporting young children to learn, develop and thrive in their first years of school.

The Role

  • Support children's learning and development across the Early Years curriculum.
  • Assist with both adult-led and child-initiated activities.
  • Encourage children's independence, confidence and social development.
  • Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to support individual children's needs.
  • Provide a warm, nurturing and consistent presence for the children.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Essential:
  • Previous Early Years experience gained within a private nursery or school setting.
  • A relevant Early Years / Nursery Nurse qualification.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A caring, patient and nurturing approach.
  • Desirable:
  • Paediatric First Aid training - however, this can be provided for the successful candidate if required.
