Role Overview- Deliver high-quality classroom support in collaboration with teachers to ensure engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
- Contribute to lesson planning and preparation, ensuring that teaching resources are well-managed and lessons run efficiently.
- Provide cover supervision for whole classes during short-term teacher absences (maximum of eight pupils per class).
- Partner with school leadership and other staff members to support pupil progress and uphold high educational standards.
- Support the implementation of policies and procedures to maintain a safe, positive, and effective learning environment.
- Demonstrated experience working with children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs, including complex learning difficulties.
- Ability to manage and support pupils exhibiting challenging behaviours with professionalism and empathy.
- HLTA status or equivalent teaching qualification is highly desirable.
- Candidates with a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills-both written and verbal-with the ability to engage confidently with parents, carers, and multi-agency professionals.
- A collaborative approach and experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven ability to lead group or individual learning activities tailored to students' individual needs.
- Familiarity with alternative communication methods for non-verbal or minimally verbal learners is advantageous.
