Academics are recruiting a passionate and dedicated SEN Specialist Teacher on behalf of an Alternative Provision setting in Gloucestershire. We are seeking a dedicated SEN Specialist Teacher (QTS) who is passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs. You will provide high quality, personalised teaching in a nurturing and inclusive environment, adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of each learner.
Role Details:
- Location: Gloucestershire
- Salary: £105 - £175 per day (DOE)
- Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm)
- Start: ASAP
- Contract: Term Time only
Key Responsibilities of a SEN Specialist Teacher:
- Creating a safe and encouraging environment to help learners thrive.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for SEN learners.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet learners' needs.
- Support with monitoring achievements and helping learners feel supported to reach their full potential.
- Ensuring safeguarding policies are followed at all times.
- Set appropriate learning goals and targets.
- Promote independence, confidence, communication and social development.
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular feedback on pupil progress.
Key Qualities we are seeking:
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach.
- A genuine passion for helping children with SEN succeed.
- Experience working within a teaching role (SEN or non).
- QTS status.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
