Academics are working in partnership with a specialist SEND school in Gillingham, who are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis from September, with the potential for the role to become permanent. For the right candidate, an earlier start may also be available. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and well-established SEN setting, where a child-centred approach and strong teamwork are at the heart of everything they do. Experience supporting or leading within a SEND team would be highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Full-time SEN Teacher position
  • Working with pupils with a range of needs including ASD, communication difficulties, and complex needs
  • Teaching small class sizes with strong TA support
  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to EHCPs
  • Working closely with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Previous SEN experience is desirable
  • Minimum of 1 year UK teaching experience
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
