Are you an experienced Geography teacher looking to take the next step in your academic career?

Look no further, we have an exciting opportunity in one of our large inner city diverse secondary schools. We are looking for a passionate individual to educate students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 on what happens in the outside world. This will be a long term vacancy from February 2026 and will run until the end of the academic year with the possibility of an extension or permanent contract from September 2026.

In the schools most recent Ofsted inspection they received positive feedback and were rated as good overall! Comprehensive training is provided to ensure you are fully prepared and have an understanding of all the school policies and procedures. The school have a focus on meeting the needs of those with a range of SEN and disabilities.

Responsibilities

About the role of a Geography Teacher.

We are looking for an individual that can confidently teach Geography to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. By sharing knowledge and displaying a deep understanding of Geography you will have the opportunity to make an impact on students\\\’ academic journeys. Your role will involve planning and delivering engaging lessons as well as classroom management.

Regular checks must be carried out to track students\\\’ progress and understanding on the topic.

Qualifications

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • A relevant qualification related to Geography
  • Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to control the classroom
