Quantum Scholars are seeking dedicated and experienced SEND/SEMH Tutors to provide 1:1 support and tuition to young people accessing Alternative Provision across Somerset.
We are particularly interested in hearing from tutors who are confident delivering English, Maths and/or Science, and who have experience supporting young people with additional needs.
About the role
As a SEND/SEMH Tutor, you will provide tailored 1:1 support to young people who may be accessing education outside of a mainstream school setting. The focus will be on building positive relationships, supporting engagement and helping learners make progress both academically and personally.
Quantum Scholars has been approved onto Somerset Council's Alternative Provision Framework, meaning we receive consistent referrals for tuition and support across the area.
This is a great opportunity for tutors looking for meaningful work where they can make a genuine difference to young people who may have struggled within traditional education settings.
We are looking for tutors who:
- Have experience working with SEND and/or SEMH learners
- Are confident delivering English, Maths and/or Science
- Have experience working within Alternative Provision, EOTAS, schools or similar settings
- Can build positive and trusting relationships with young people
- Are patient, adaptable and able to tailor sessions to individual needs
- Hold or are willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS
- Have the right to work in the UK
