We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Folkestone. This is a full-time position offering an immediate start, supporting pupils across all year groups from Early Years through to Year 6.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to provide high-quality support, helping pupils to achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teaching and learning across all primary year groups.
  • Assist teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons and classroom activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils who require additional assistance.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Supervise pupils during break times, educational activities, and school events where required.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or similar setting is desirable.
  • A positive, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant qualifications (such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) are advantageous but not essential.
