About the Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable EYFS Teaching Assistants to join our pool of supply staff, supporting Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) pupils across a variety of primary schools in Goole. This is a flexible position ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic settings and are passionate about nurturing young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support to EYFS pupils, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment conducive to learning.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
* Support the development of children\’s literacy, numeracy, social, and motor skills through play-based and structured learning activities.
* Encourage positive behaviour and independence in line with school policies and the EYFS ethos.
* Work with small groups or individual pupils, adapting support to their individual needs.
* Assist with classroom preparation, tidying, and maintenance of resources.
* Provide feedback to teachers on pupils’ progress and engagement.
* Ensure the health and safety of children at all times.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children in an EYFS setting is essential.
* A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not mandatory.
* Understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development milestones.
