About the Role
As an EYFS Learning Support Assistant in Doncaster, you will support children within Nursery and Reception settings, helping them to develop socially, emotionally, and academically. You will work closely with class teachers and early years practitioners to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. This role may involve supporting whole-class activities, small group work, or providing individual support where required. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and is committed to making a positive difference during these vital early years.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children within Nursery and Reception classes
- Assist with the delivery of engaging EYFS learning activities
- Promote communication, social interaction, and independence
- Provide support on a one-to-one or small group basis where needed
- Help to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support children's personal, social, and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents
- Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Childcare qualification (desirable)
- Experience working within an EYFS setting
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
- Patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
