New Quantum Scholars is currently recruiting experienced SEN tutors to provide 1:1, in-person tuition for primary and secondary-aged pupils receiving Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS) provision across Uxbridge. We are currently receiving regular referrals from the local authority for tuition taking place throughout the week, typically 2-3 hours per day. We are particularly keen to hear from experienced SEN tutors who are available Monday to Friday and can commit to delivering consistent sessions.

As a trusted provider within the local authority's alternative provision network, we support pupils who are not currently in mainstream education. Many of the students we work with have additional needs, including SEND, ADHD, autism, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical conditions. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work closely with individual pupils, delivering tailored sessions that build confidence, strengthen core academic skills, and support their transition back into education.

Tuition usually takes place in the pupil's home or a suitable community setting, with tutors responsible for planning and delivering sessions based on each learner's needs.

Role Overview
  • Deliver 1:1 tuition to primary and secondary-aged pupils outside of mainstream education
  • Flexible, part-time hours to suit your availability
  • Sessions typically take place during school hours, so availability within this timeframe is essential
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils' lives
Requirements
  • Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, or behavioural needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK (please note, sponsorship is not available)
  • Ability to travel to Uxbridge for in-person sessions

This is a fantastic opportunity for tutors who are passionate about making a difference, while benefiting from the flexibility and impact of 1:1 tuition. If this sounds of interest, please apply today and a member of our team will be in touch.
