  • Monday – Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
  • Pay: £90-£115 per day (depending on experience)

We are working with a well-regarded Secondary School in Chelmsford that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their support team. This position will initially be offered as a fixed‑term contract, with the school aiming to offer a permanent opportunity from September for the successful candidate.

Job Overview

  • Provide classroom and one‑to‑one support for students across KS3‑KS4.
  • Support students with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs.
  • Work closely with teachers and the SEN department to deliver targeted interventions and support strategies.
  • Help students remain engaged, focused, and confident within lessons.
  • Support positive behaviour management and encourage student participation.
  • Assist with monitoring student progress and reporting concerns where appropriate.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
