Our lovely school is looking for an Emotional Support Worker to join them in fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for their students. They believe that their students deserve the opportunity to thrive both academically and emotionally.

This fantastic school is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Emotional Support Worker to join their team starting ASAP. This is an important role where you will be responsible for facilitating and providing tailored emotional support to students, helping them navigate their feelings, build resilience, and develop coping strategies. As an Emotional Support Worker, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to create a supportive and safe environment for our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1 to 1 and group support to children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement individual support plans in collaboration with educational staff.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting trust and emotional safety.
  • Help students identify and express their emotions in a healthy manner.
  • Facilitate social skills development and conflict resolution.
  • Monitor and track student progress, reporting on emotional and behavioral change.
  • Support and encourage emotional awareness.

Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting children and young people with educational needs and social, emotional, and mental health needs will be beneficial but not essential.
  • Educational background in Psychology, Criminology, or Education will be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and genuine passion for supporting children.

  • Salary: £83.33 to £96.15 per day
  • Position: Full-time
