Are you passionate about supporting children with autism and helping them thrive in an educational setting? We are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic Autism Support Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school based in East Grinstead, supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional learning needs.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous SEN experience, a background in childcare, or a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience.
The Role:
- Supporting children with ASD on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Helping pupils develop their communication, social and independence skills.
- Supporting children with sensory needs and emotional regulation.
- Working closely with teachers and other SEN professionals.
- Creating a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment.
Who We're Looking For:
- Previous experience with ASD, SEN, childcare or a similar setting is desirable.
- Psychology, Education and Childhood Studies graduates are encouraged to apply.
- A patient, nurturing and understanding approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Able to travel to East Grinstead.
