Pay: £92.56 - £100 per day, depending on experience

Are you a confident and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young people? Academics are currently recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Ealing, working 4 days per week. This role would suit someone who enjoys mentoring students, building positive relationships and helping young people reach their potential. The school is particularly keen to find a strong male mentor who can act as a positive role model for students, especially those who may benefit from additional encouragement and guidance.

The Role

  • Work 4 days per week within a supportive secondary school
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students in Years 7, 8 and 9
  • Act as a positive male role model and mentor to students
  • Support pupils with behavioural needs and encourage positive choices
  • Assist teachers with classroom learning and student engagement
  • Use your sporting interests to build rapport and motivate students
  • Help students develop confidence, resilience and positive attitudes towards learning
  • Work closely with teaching staff to support students' academic and personal development

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with young people in a school, youth work or mentoring setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident supporting students with behavioural needs
  • Passionate about mentoring and making a positive difference
  • Sports-oriented or able to use sport to engage and motivate students
  • Calm, patient and able to build positive relationships
  • Previous experience as a TA or Behaviour Support Assistant is advantageous
