Academics are currently looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Drama teacher for one of our highly regarded secondary schools in West Leeds. This will be a long-term position starting in September 2025. This is an exciting position for someone who is looking to take the next step in their teaching career!
In the school's most recent Ofsted report, the teachers were praised for being ambitious and having high subject knowledge. Pupils were praised for displaying excellent behaviour, as well as being polite and courteous towards other students and members of staff.
As a Drama teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high quality lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, preparing students for any upcoming exams and assessments, and contributing towards extracurricular activities such as school productions and Drama clubs.
The Ideal candidate must have the following:
- A Drama related degree followed by Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Drama in a Secondary setting
- Right to work in the UK
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A passion for Drama and making a positive impact on student's lives
We also offer weekly pay that is paid to scale through PAYE. On top of this, we can offer additional safeguarding and CPD courses free of charge!
