Lead with Heart: Thrive Teacher (Secondary) - Doncaster

Role: Thrive Teacher / Secondary Practitioner

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Contract: Full-time, term-time (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm)

Daily Rate: £140 -£190 (inclusive of holiday pay)

We are seeking a dedicated Thrive Teacher to join a forward-thinking Secondary School.

Responsibilities

  • Teach with Purpose: Lead targeted one-to-one and small-group Thrive sessions, creating individual plans that help pupils understand emotions, build resilience, and strengthen readiness to learn.
  • Embed Wellbeing Across the School: Work alongside class teachers and support staff to promote a whole-school culture of emotional health—turning theory into everyday practice.
  • Guide Progress & Celebrate Growth: Track, assess, and share the positive outcomes of your Thrive work—helping each child move forward with confidence and connection.
  • Grow Professionally: Access continued training and development in trauma-informed practice, SEMH strategies, and the Thrive Approach, supported by our agency and the school.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Thrive Practitioner training (or strong experience applying Thrive principles in the classroom)
  • Knowledge of attachment-aware and trauma-informed teaching
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs, anxiety, autism, or communication challenges
  • A warm, patient and emotionally resilient approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
