The Role

As an ASD TA, you will work closely with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder, supporting their academic progress, social development, and emotional wellbeing. You will collaborate with teachers, support staff, and the SENCO to ensure pupils receive the individual support they need throughout the school day. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with autism
  • Assist in delivering personalised learning and behaviour plans
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support pupil development

  • Promote emotional wellbeing and positive social interactions
  • Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment

About You

The ideal ASD TA will be patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting children with additional needs. You will have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive and proactive attitude
  • The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • A genuine interest in SEND and inclusive education
  • Previous experience supporting children with autism (desirable but not essential)
