Are you an experienced Science Technician looking for a rewarding full-time opportunity in a secondary school setting? Academics is recruiting on behalf of a supportive secondary school in Congleton that is seeking a knowledgeable and organised Science Technician to join their Science Department. The school is looking to appoint someone both immediately and from September on a full-time, fixed-term basis. The role will initially run until December, with the potential for extension beyond this date.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
School Science Technician – Role Information
- Prepare, set up, and clear away equipment and materials for practical science lessons
- Support teaching staff with the delivery of practical experiments across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure resources are readily available
- Safely store and handle chemicals and scientific equipment
- Assist with risk assessments and departmental safety procedures
- Provide technical support to teaching staff and students where appropriate
School Science Technician – Applicant Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Science Technician within a school or educational setting
- Strong scientific knowledge and understanding of laboratory procedures
