Classroom Assistant

A warm and nurturing SEND school in Wolverhampton is seeking a compassionate and proactive Classroom Support Assistant to join their dedicated team. This long-term role offers the chance to contribute daily to students' learning, growth, and wellbeing.
Role Overview:
In this rewarding position, you'll support pupils aged between 5 and 16 with a diverse range of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), and MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties). Whether working 1:1 or within small group settings, your role will be vital in helping students stay engaged, regulate emotions, and gain confidence.
You'll be working alongside a team of experienced teachers, therapists, and support staff who are passionate about creating a supportive, inclusive environment where every child can succeed.
Your Responsibilities:
- Delivering tailored support to students during lessons and activities
- Assisting in meeting EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) objectives
- Promoting a calm, consistent, and structured atmosphere in the classroom

- Encouraging independence, resilience, and self-confidence

Ideal Candidate:
