School: Specialist SEN school supporting pupils aged 11-19 with complex learning and communication needs
Pay: £88.94 – £100 per day (dependent upon experience, training, qualifications & client rate available, inclusive of holiday pay)
About the Role
As a Class Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting pupils with autism, sensory needs, and complex learning difficulties within a classroom setting. You\’ll work under the guidance of the class teacher to help deliver engaging, structured lessons and provide targeted support to ensure every child can access the curriculum and make progress.
This role would suit someone with experience in special education or those looking to develop their skills within a supportive SEN environment in Sheffield.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering lessons tailored to pupils with SEN.
- Assist pupils with communication, sensory regulation, and engagement in learning.
- Provide emotional and practical support to help pupils develop independence.
- Work with individual students and small groups as required.
- Assist with personal care routines when necessary.
