Role Overview - SEN Teacher
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: 42,000 - 58,000 (Inner London Pay Scale)
Location: Borough of Islington
Position: SEN Teacher - SEN Secondary School (Ages 9-18)
Class Size: Small groups with additional teaching assistant support

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a well-established SEN school in Islington catering for pupils aged 9-18. You will lead a KS3/KS4 SEN class of pupils with a range of additional needs, supported by experienced teaching assistants and a nurturing leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Take the lead in supporting children with ASD through targeted interventions and personalised strategies
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Carry out interventions to help pupils develop communication, social, and academic skills
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to ensure holistic support
- Promote both academic progress and personal development for each child
- Contribute to the inclusive, child-centred ethos of the school
